Senior Accounts Officer

AccessBank Liberia (ABL) is seeking a dynamic, self-driven professional to join their team as a Senior Accounts Officer. This role is critical for maintaining high professional standards within the Reporting Unit and ensuring the bank's financial accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• The selected candidate will oversee several critical financial functions, including:
• Financial Recordkeeping: Maintaining accurate bookkeeping and accounting records.
• Data Analysis: Transforming business data to support effective financial analysis.
• Compliance Monitoring: Tracking covenants and benchmarks for financiers, regulators, and shareholders.
• Asset Management: Handling fixed assets, including monthly depreciation and reconciliations.
• Reporting: Preparing monthly Trial Balances, management reports, and statutory reports for the Central Bank of Liberia (CBL).
• Supervision: Monitoring and supervising assigned Junior Officers within the Accounting Department.

Minimum Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in accounting or finance.
• Language: Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Required Skills

• Deep knowledge of accounting standards and Liberian banking regulations.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and reconciliation skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software and financial applications.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
