NextWorldNow (NWN) Community Investments

Are you leading a community project that needs capital to create a lasting impact? NextWorldNow (NWN) is officially inviting community organizations to submit project ideas for their annual grant cycle. NWN is a non-profit foundation that invests in creative, sustainable solutions to long-standing global problems.

Our Aim
NWN supports community development projects that are:
  • Locally Owned: Projects must be driven and owned by the local community.
  • Measurable: Social impact and return on investment must be clear.
  • Sustainable: Solutions must be built to last beyond short-term fixes.
  • Avoid Unintended Harm: Projects must increase well-being without negative side effects.
The 2026 Grant Cycle
The application process moves quickly and is highly competitive. Please note the following key dates:
  • Phase 1: Jan 1 – March 1 Submit a one-page "Notification of Interest".
  • Phase 2: April Selected organizations are invited to complete a full application.
  • Selection: June – July Finalists selected; Zoom interviews conducted.
  • Awards: September Investment awards announced and first disbursement provided.
Important Constraint: The application period closes once 1,000 registrations are received OR on March 1, whichever comes first. Additionally, to ensure global fairness, no more than 50 submissions per country will be accepted. Apply early!

Funding & Disbursement
NWN operates with minimal overhead to ensure nearly 100% of grant resources reach the community. Awards are provided in three intervals:
  • Initial (50%): Upon award announcement in September.
  • Progress (35%): Provided at 50% project completion (requires expense verification).
  • Final (15%): Provided upon receipt of a 12-month project outcome report.

Reliable Opportunities Hub Pro Tip for Applicants: 
NWN looks for scale-able projects. In your one-page Notification of Interest, don't just talk about the problem. You should focus on your unique solution and how it can be sustained after the grant money is spent. Mentioning how the community is "invested" (through labor or local resources) shows the foundation that the project has strong local roots! Click here to see past projects that have supported.
